11:58 AM June 29, 2009
I recently heard about a great new program that may be helpful to someone you know. Pfizer Inc. recently announced an innovative patient assistance program to help eligible unemployed Americans and their families who have lost their health insurance maintain access to their Pfizer medicines. Called MAINTAIN (Medicines Assistance for Those who Are in Need), the program will allow qualifying patients and their families to receive up to a year's supply of Pfizer medicines for free.
Eligibility requirements of the new program include:
- The primary wage earner has become unemployed since January 1, 2009
- They have been taking a Pfizer medicine for at least 3 months prior to the unemployment and enrolling in the program
- They have no prescription drug coverage
- They can attest to financial hardship
