Carly Fiorina Addresses WIPP Conference Call-Health Care & Jobs
12:56 AM February 17, 2010
U.S. Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina (R-CA) addressed a call that the WIPP Republican Small Business Team co-chaired on February 12th. Fiorina, a breast cancer survivor, addressed health care, a citizen government, the jobs picture, access to capital and credit markets, American debt, and the attention small businesses are getting in Washington.
As a co-chair of the Republican Small Business Committee, I found Carly's facts and conclusions to be just what the doctor ordered. I really hope she has the chance to become my U.S. Senator in Washington because I believe that she will do the right thing and vote for policies and regulations that enhance small businesses' ability to thrive.

I also found an interesting tidbit today from my friend Bob Dove. Bob served as the U.S. Senate Parliamentarian in the Bob Dole era. Here he talks about the precedent former Presidents of the Senate have when it comes to reconciliation - this is especially relevant on the current health care bill and the role of the Vice President - http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MjYxM2Q2YTcxMGU3ZjBhOGE4ZmJlZGE3YTNjYmQ4NzY==
Our next call is March 11th - stay tuned!
Best wishes,
